Technical Services

Each plant quality control department is specifically structured to provide technical support for that plant's customers and products. Quality programs are structured around ISO 9000 guidelines and employ statistical process methodology. Plant technical capabilities include both physical and chemical analysis. Laboratory and in-plant process labs are oriented to process control and quality assurance functions.

Research & Development activities are initiated through our technical service department at Dalton, Georgia. Research focus is on calcium carbonates and flame retardants. The Dalton, Georgia technical center is focused on high purity carbonate applications and works extensively with customers in product development activities. Dalton also has the capability to perform material characterization studies and do both static and dynamic bench scale testing. Technical data sheets, MSDS and other supporting information are available through either one of Franklin's technical centers.
